Complementing our powerful Performance Server for commercial buildings and larger projects designed for 19-inch rack installation, we have developed the Home Automation Server as an efficient, space-saving, energy-efficient and smart solution. It is particularly attractive for builders and homeowners who want to equip their homes with state-of-the-art technology without visible KNX smart home components.

The Home Automation Server can easily be installed on a DIN rail and is ideally suited for building control in single-family homes and smaller projects. KNX guarantees compatibility with products from around 500 different manufacturers. Users remain free to choose their preferred end devices: the server serves as the basis for touch panels, tablets, Windows PCs and smartphones running iOS or Android. This means that control is not tied to a permanently installed operating device.
Control on all end devices is provided via our YOUVI visualisation, giving the server a high degree of flexibility: logics, routines and functions can be individually configured so that the building automation system can be optimally adapted to user requirements. There are also virtually no restrictions regarding usable data points.
Modern server technology at the heart of building control
With its 4 DIN modules (approx. 70 mm), the Home Automation Server fits into virtually any electrical cabinet. Installation and commissioning are carried out by a system integrator. The compact server is highly reliable and therefore particularly low-maintenance. The combination of 4 GB RAM and 32 GB flash storage makes it attractive even for extensive automation projects involving different end devices and provides sufficient performance reserves for demanding smart home projects.
Local KNX control with flexible extensions
Using our YOUVI mobile app or a KNX touch panel, homeowners can conveniently operate their KNX building control system. The server connects the KNX world with the home network. Control is handled locally via the server, allowing users to remain independent of cloud services while retaining full control over their building data. Core functions such as heating, blinds, lighting, weather stations and climate or ventilation systems can be controlled with ease. Using the respective YOUVI bridges for neoom, Fronius or SolarEdge, users can also monitor energy flows within the home. Thanks to integration with Apple Home as well as voice control systems such as Alexa or Aragon and additional bridges and modules, the server solution can also be customised to suit different requirements. Integration of sound systems such as Sonos or Revox as well as IP cameras and door stations is generally possible. However, multiroom functions as well as IP cameras and door stations can currently only be used on our touch panels and Windows devices with the YOUVI client installed. These functions are not yet available for iOS and Android.
With all its control options, the new Home Automation Server is a compact, cost-effective and energy-efficient smart home solution – and an ideal investment for home use.
