We have released a new version of our KNX visualisation software YOUVI. The update expands visualisation capabilities, streamlines workflows for the implementation of KNX projects and enhances control in day-to-day operation.
Greater freedom in visualisation and operation
With YOUVI 5.1, which we presented to the public for the first time at the Light + Building trade fair in March 2026, our visualisation gains numerous functional enhancements. These include a new window widget with an associated group widget and full logic support. Window status information can now be clearly displayed, grouped and integrated into automation processes.
Web widgets can now be created directly within rooms. If no other devices are present on a dashboard or room page, these widgets are automatically maximised for optimal display.
In addition, users can now define their own accent colour for the first time, largely replacing the previous colour scheme and allowing for even more personalised visualisation design.
Functional groups have also been expanded to include scenes, sound and additional categories, and can now be structured by rooms. An extended icon library further improves clarity and visual organisation.

Individual settings and enhanced control
YOUVI 5.1 offers more options for fine-tuning devices and user permissions. Minimum and maximum temperature values can now be defined individually for heating systems, temperature sensors and climate devices. Custom buttons now support free value input via a slider.
Devices can be selectively excluded from automatically generated groups, making projects easier to structure. Historical data is now also available for plug-in devices.
In addition, we have introduced a new “Guest” user type in YOUVI 5.1 with restricted permissions, such as no access to dashboard editing. This user type is particularly suited to public environments such as hotels, holiday apartments or sports facilities.
Greater efficiency in project implementation
YOUVI 5.1 provides system integrators with several improvements for implementing KNX projects. Devices can now be duplicated within the project editor, accelerating configuration and simplifying repetitive tasks.
Data point types of group addresses can be modified as long as they are not yet in use. This provides greater flexibility in early project phases and reduces the need for corrections.
We have also further optimised the ETS import. ETS functions are now taken more fully into account during project parsing, allowing devices to be identified and assigned more precisely. Overall, the import process is more reliable and integrates more easily into existing projects.

Future-proof system platform and optimised configuration
We have also revised YOUVI Configuration. Modules and bridges are now clearly separated into installed and non-installed entries, improving overview and simplifying configuration.
From version 5.1 onwards, the visualisation is based on the modern WinUI 3. This provides a future-proof technical foundation for further developments and enhancements.
At the same time, support for 32-bit systems has been discontinued. From version 5.1 onwards, YOUVI runs exclusively on x64 architecture.
“With YOUVI 5.1, we have consistently further developed our visualisation. Our aim was to provide greater flexibility for users while offering system integrators noticeable improvements in their day-to-day project work. This combination is what makes YOUVI a powerful and future-proof solution in the KNX environment,” says our Managing Director Lorenz Rohrmann.
