Controlmini as central KNX control unit in Dutch house

In the picturesque town of Lunteren in the Netherlands, our partner Villa Elektra has implemented a complete KNX installation. The free-standing residential building is controlled via a PEAKnx Controlmini and Basalte switches. A Gira Homeserver operates in the background. In addition to lighting based on Dali, sun protection, air conditioning and presence detectors are integrated to increase the living comfort. The KNX installation also provides more security through presence simulation and the integration of cameras and an alarm system. A mechanical ventilation control, heat pump coupling and KNX weather station complete the KNX installation. On the 11,6'' touch display of the Controlmini, which is centrally located in the living area, residents can keep an eye on and control all building functions.

The elegant flush-mounted KNX touch panel fits perfectly into the stylish living ambience. It is characterised by an open room concept that extends over both floors. The kitchen, living and dining areas extend over the entire ground floor and are only separated from each other by wooden beams and well-thought-out furniture. The fireplace and an elegant grand piano are the focal point of the living area. The ceiling height in the living area reaches all the way under the roof in some places. A transparent glass floor in the attic creates an additional connection between the two floors and reinforces the open feeling of the living space.
